Smiles to go around!

Another suprise weekend came upon us last week :) Marks' Mother and lil' sis were able to come up and hang out with us!! I was pleasantly surprised. It gave me a chance to catch up on some sleep and get some things done. It was nice to have them up. Mark and I were even able to sneak away to have dinner at the Olive Garden, while lil' AubriLynn was spoiled again-- I was estatic because it helped her get back on her night-time sleep schedule which had still been mixed up from our last trip!
AubriLynn has a new entertainment/ toy which she loves! She loves to push and scooch with her legs, so now she has the bouncey toy where she is able to push with her legs. She gets so excited as she sits there pushing and bouncing!! She has the cutest, happiest look! Its priceless!! The toys that surround her don't mean much cause she doesn't do the grasping thing with them-- but she doesn't mind :] She is now 2 months and 13 lbs. I'm amazed at how much she has quietly grown. She is still such a good and content baby. Sometimes we sneak in and she is wide-eyed in the crib staring contently. Then when she notices us she has the biggest grin and begins her cooing/ talking. We can't help but laugh, smile and cherish her even more!

A Spontaneous Trip!

So last weekend about 7pm on Thur. night we decided to go to Salt Lake for the weekend since it was a holiday on Mon and Mark could get it off... Well, at least here in San Jose. There was still plenty of things we needed to do to keep him busy over the weekend! Nevertheless, we decided to go as a fun trip for me and baby, and a work trip for him! We made arrangements and left at midnight!! I love the spontaneity in Mark!! So off we went on our 12 hour drive~ AubriLynn slept practically the whole way. (Needless to say her sleep schedule has been mixed up the whole week) But it was fun for her to see her aunts and uncles for the first time and spend time with her grandma and Grandpa!!! She was spoiled indeed and loved every minute!
It was nice to be with the family once again. We went out to eat in honor of Nathan and Kelsey's engagement!!! (Yea!! :] ) and also enjoyed a family breakfast at Dad and Brenda's house. Then visited with Great Grandpa & Grandma Brewer and finished with a visit to Mark's cousins, the Maples.' We kept busy but somehow found a little time to sleep in there before we headed back.

Growing Phases~

Daddys' l'il girl is growing up so fast! She loves when daddy comes home to play :) She gives a big grin and begins to coo! She has become so good at lifting her head to observe her surroundings. She is a very content, patient and happy baby! As she lays on the floor she will gaze up at you and begin to happily mimic sounds as tho she is talking. She also loves to skooch across the floor (with help of course!) She is a ton of fun~ Mommy loves to play with her and watch her as she sleeps. Luckily I am able to get 4-5 hours of sleep at night, although I'm still in the stage where it just doesn't seem to be enough!

We got some cute photos taken of her that should be on their way to us in the mail!! So I'll get those posted when they get in... They are adoreable!!

As for Mark, he is busy with work and school. He has began internet classes for graphic design which he is really excited about. Graphic design has been a passion of his for a long time so, he is speeding thru the courses and enjoying every moment!

Baby's First Christmas!

This was AubriLynn's First Christmas! One month old and she was up on time.... 6am sharp! She lasted about an hour and was out once again. We spent Christmas at Grandma Mary's house where AubriLynn was spoiled with the cuddles and gifts! Momma finally got a break and was able to catch up on a months worth of sleep!

Mark got work off so we spent about 3 days visiting. Little Auntie Randi got to finally meet her little neice and was so excited to hold baby!

Since then its been a busy week with Christmas, Mark's Birthday and New Year's all within 2 weeks! It was busy but peaceful. Now we're back to adjusting to everyday life and trying to figure out baby AubriLynn's schedule-- She is going thru a growth spurt and is sleeping like crazy (for today!). However we're working with 2 hour naps and an hour feeding. So with that as a sleep schedule to work with for now, the 5 hour sleep nights are that much more appealing now! As we struggle with the lack of sleep, all we need is a glimpse of that precious little face and touch of her tiny little hand and are reminded that it is worth it and this time will pass quickly- so enjoy it! We have been blessed!

And for a quick update on Mark and his work, (Global Drug Testing Labs) which landed us here in Cali, things are progressing smoothly. He still loves his work and thankfully his schedule is a bit more flexible because the new hires are now well trained, which leaves him with more time for his hobbies and family cuddles!
